1.      Why did you choose to sell on Etsy/ and do you sell anywhere else?
- Back in October this past year myself, and "Jak" found ourselves very disappointed in the run of the mill Halloween decorations we kept finding at the store - so we decided we should make our own - we made these giant life size characters from Tim Burton's Nightmare Before Christmas and decorated the whole outside of our house in this manner. The whole neighborhood came out to see it, people from other neighborhoods came by to see it - and it just went so well - and we received so many compliments we thought we should start making more stuff in our spare time just to see if it went anywhere. So we did, and we found etsy. We tried a couple other online selling websites with our first shop (downtownmonsters.etsy.com) but our heart belonged to etsy so we ended up just sticking with them. 

2- What is your fave thing to buy on Etsy (whether it be supplies or gifts etc.)
- Well there are two people involved with Shambee & Jak; and we both do our fair share of etsy shopping - probably more than we should! While I ("Shambee") like to buy little nik-nak type things , "Jak" likes to mainly buy prints. Theres so many talented people on etsy though, if you see something you are in love with no matter what it is you just have to buy it! You'll never find another like it after all!

3-What is your current fave product(not in your store) under 20$?
- This is probably going to sound a little strange ... but like I said there are two of us ... and we have very different tastes. My favorite seller (who's most items are $20 or under) is http://www.magicbeanbuyer.etsy.com ... she is such a sweet person, and I love her little figures. She recently did some wonderful custom ones for me! "Jak's" favorite seller is http://www.zombiehead.etsy.com , they have plenty of items for $20 and under, and some that are a little more, but they do such amazing super detailed work on such tiny little "canvases" . They also happen to be a member of the etsy team we founded "Central Florida Craft Cult". 

4- Any advice for new sellers?
- Promote! Promote! Promote! Utilize websites like flickr, myspace, facebook, craftster anything and EVERYTHING to get your name out there! Join etsy teams, they really help - then you have a whole team of people helping you get your name out there! Drop off business cards or fliers to local stores, to your cashier at the grocery store - Jak even gave our business cards to the all of the nurses in the clinic after a doctor's appointment she had! 

5-And a favorite quote?
- "Live every week like it's shark week" ... I'm not entirely sure what it means exactly ... it's from 30 rock ... I just think it's funny ... and it can be motivational if you read into it! :)
