1-Why did you choose to sell on Etsy/ and do you sell anywhere else?
I originally sold my art through ebay. However, ebay was becoming less and less seller friendly so I decided to try etsy. Etsy's selling fees were lower and I liked the 4 month listing time.

2- What is your fave thing to buy on Etsy (whether it be supplies or gifts etc.)
Many of my artist friends are active on Flickr and etsy, so I tend to buy art from them.

3-What is your current fave product(not in your store) under 20$?
I like anything
Jelene Morris creates. She has a lot of items under $20.

4- Any advice for new sellers?
Communicate and ship quickly. If possible, list items frequently and at different times throughout the day.

Add an elegant accent to your hairstyle with this vintage button attached to a polished metal hair clip. (set of 3)
Price: 8.00
From: Kaang

1-Why did you choose to sell on Etsy/ and do you sell anywhere else?
I only sell on Etsy, and I chose it because I think it has great community, plus it is very used friendly

2- What is your fave thing to buy on Etsy (whether it be supplies or gifts etc.)
I buy random things I like, mostly gifts.

3-What is your current fave product(not in your store) under 20$?
I love the poms from
PomLove. I actually have these ones hanging on my apartment, they are beautiful and so whimsical!

4- Any advice for new sellers?
Provide good customer service, and treat your costumers and you would like to be treated.

Green, Yellow, and Orange Melamine Melmac Flower Custard Cups from jutenhoops.etsy.com

Set of seven custard cups by Shin-san Melamine Ware.
3.5" across. Two green, one yellow, and four orange. All of the cups are white on the inside.
Price: 10.00

1-Why did you choose to sell on Etsy/ and do you sell anywhere else?
I was selling -- and continue to sell a few things -- on eBay, but I find that Etsy is a much warmer, more seller-friendly environment. The fees are lower, and the look and feel of the site is very user friendly.

2- What is your fave thing to buy on Etsy (whether it be supplies or gifts etc.)
I haven't made many purchases but I love looking at plastic rings and unique screenprinted t-shirts and tote bags.

3-What is your current fave product(not in your store) under 20$?
love bread and butter so anything with that!

4- Any advice for new sellers?
I still feel like a new seller, myself, but I think that having good photographs is essential. My photography skills are lacking, but some of the sellers at Etsy could and should do photographs for catalogs and magazines, in my opinion -- they are that good.

Price: 12.50

1-Why did you choose to sell on Etsy/ and do you sell anywhere else?
I sell only on Etsy though I'm featured on another website. I've tried other online markets but decided to focus only on Etsy because I love it's overall look and ease of operation. (if I can set up a shop anyone can!) Also the artisans are incredible!

2- What is your fave thing to buy on Etsy (whether it be supplies or gifts etc.)
So far I've bought art and photography for gifts. It's one of the best places to find a gift for just about anyone.

3-What is your current fave product(not in your store) under 20$?
Art prints from
mincingmockingbird. Such great birdies!

4- Any advice for new sellers?
I feel I'm still sort of a new seller. I'd have to say though, take your time, explore all the features Etsy offers to help you promote your product. It's a great community of artists.

Price: 12.00

1-Why did you choose to sell on Etsy/ and do you sell anywhere else?
Lets see, I chose to sell on Etsy because I loved the artistic and creative products listed and the community is handmade friendly. I tried Ebay for a year and sales were slow. I have been on Etsy for less than 3 months and my inventory of fairy items is almost depleted (down to 5 from 21!).I also did my first craft fair this Spring (a lot of set up and tear down work!)I prefer online sales because I can work in my jammies at the computer or in my craft room.

2- What is your fave thing to buy on Etsy (whether it be supplies or gifts etc.)
I have been buying supplies mostly on Etsy so far, I will be buying gifts in the near future but have told so many people about the site that I am sure to have generated sales for others.

3-What is your current fave product(not in your store) under 20$?
I love the needlefelted items I see listed on Etsy, like the cute
Young Owlbert Einstein in woolcrazy's shop.

4- Any advice for new sellers?
I am a new seller myself so advice to others is from a newbie perspective, I feel very anxious when I do not get feedback from a buyer after a sale. I tend to take it personally. It is difficult to resist the temptation to repeatedly ask them to leave feedback. My advice is to just relax and figure, it is human nature to complain and if I hear nothing back from a buyer, it must mean they loved it!

When I Grow Up Bib - Biker from cutiefruity.etsy.com

This CutieFruity from the When I Grow Up series has a "leather" vest studded with nailheads. The back is made of cotton. You could have a blue motorcycle on the back, or red flames. Please specify when ordering which one you would like. It measures approx 10"x12" and has a tie back closure.
Price: 10.00

1-Why did you choose to sell on Etsy/ and do you sell anywhere else?
I started selling on etsy to get rid of some things that I made for a craft show that fell through. I was sad that I wasn't able to go to that show, but grateful for finding Etsy, and my team, the Eastern Washington Etsy Team. I also sell on ArtFire. Selling on ArtFire has also enabled me to use Rapid Cart on my blog,
http://www.mycutiefruity.blogspot.com.

2- What is your fave thing to buy on Etsy (whether it be supplies or gifts etc.)
I LOVE to buy handmade soap on etsy. I'm so addicted. My husband is going crazy with me getting all these different kinds of soap in the mail. Oh, my mail lady doesn't like it, either. I think she has a sensitive nose. Whenever I'm getting soap (especially laundry detergent) She goes out of her way to make sure I'm the first house on her route that day.

3-What is your current fave product(not in your store) under 20$?
I have two sellers that I would spend so much money on if I could:
rachel323, she sells awesome vintage jewelry and the best lip balm EVER. I also really want to try out soaps from GrumpyGirl, but I haven't done that yet.

4- Any advice for new sellers?
List often. If you are listing a few times throughout the day or week, you'll be more visible and make more sales that way.

5-And a favorite quote?
My favorite quote is a new one to me: "Use it up, wear it out, make it do, or do without". --Brigham Young. I hate spending money on anything I know I don't NEED, or that I can make myself. Our family has saved so much money from using this motto. I avoided buying a bunch of maternity clothes because I sewed myself a few belly bands (which I sell a lot of in my shop). I'm most happy that I haven't bought diapers in over 3 months because this time around I'm making my own cloth diapers. We are pros at our house of "making it do".

Price: 15.00

1-Why did you choose to sell on Etsy/ and do you sell anywhere else?
I chose to sell on Etsy because I found it to be an affordable option compared to starting my own website. I also thought the Etsy community was awesome and wanted to be a part of that. I don't sell anywhere else right now.

2- What is your fave thing to buy on Etsy (whether it be supplies or gifts etc.)
My favorite thing to buy is probably art. I've bought quite a few prints from various artists. I'm eyeing this
print from groundwork

3-What is your current fave product(not in your store) under 20$?
My favorite item under $20 would be this lovely pillow from enhabiten.

4- Any advice for new sellers?
My advice to sellers is to get out there and start communicating via the blog world, twitter, facebook. People will begin to start recognizing your name and stopping by your shop. I would also recommend google analytics to see where most of your traffic comes from so you know what areas to target, and to have clean professional pictures that draw people into your shop. I also check my etsy site at least once and hour if I can so I can answer questions right away. Customers really appreciate it when you get back to them right away!

1-Why did you choose to sell on Etsy/ and do you sell anywhere else?
I feel very strongly about the indie movement. Etsy
gives artisans and crafters the oppurtunity to share
their passion for creation with the world without
having to deal with opening a brick-and-mortar store
or with maintaining a retail web-site on their own.

2- What is your fave thing to buy on Etsy (whether it be supplies or gifts etc.)
I am addicted to unique vintage jewelry supplies...
Especially vintage brass and copper or anything with
a rich turquoise patina.

3-What is your current fave product(not in your store) under 20$?
Modern Atelier... Vanilla Banane perfume $15, yum.

4- Any advice for new sellers?
List regularly, experiment with photography,
promote your shop, and, of course, have fun!

1-Why did you choose to sell on Etsy/ and do you sell anywhere else?
I've always loved looking around Etsy, there is so much to see, and new things everyday. I am only selling on Etsy right now. With three kids I feel busy enough!

2- What is your fave thing to buy on Etsy (whether it be supplies or gifts etc.)
Gifts are a great thing, you can find something for anyone on Etsy.

3-What is your current fave product(not in your store) under 20$?
This
bracelet from caraconnor. She has some great jewelry for under $20!

4- Any advice for new sellers?
It's going to take up a lot of time and you have to work really hard at it. Etsy is a competitive place to sell, but it's a lot of fun!

5-And a favorite quote?
You must be the change you wish to see in the world.

1-Why did you choose to sell on Etsy/ and do you sell anywhere else?
I sort of stumbled onto Etsy when I was in the process of researching starting my own site. Once I knew Etsy existed I thought all the work is done for me! The rest is history. I have had a table on Poppytalk Handmade twice, sold wholesale to boutiques both locally & throughout the country but Etsy remains my favorite spot!

2- What is your fave thing to buy on Etsy (whether it be supplies or gifts etc.)
I really love to buy on Etsy! I buy supplies, vintage & gifts! I always go to Etsy first to find what I'm looking for before I go elsewhere. I really love the idea of supporting other people like myself and fostering this great community.

3-What is your current fave product(not in your store) under 20$?
Under $20, fave, is this
custom stamp from terbearco. I have this and I love it!

4- Any advice for new sellers?
My advice for new sellers: be patient, positive, take great pictures, promote and do what you love, the sales will come.

5-And a favorite quote?
My favorite quote is one by Mother Teresa ~~ "You can do no great things; only small things with great love".

Choose from any two jars of our handcrafted, straight from our kitchen jams or jellies.
Price: 12.00

1-Why did you choose to sell on Etsy/ and do you sell anywhere else?
I chose to sell on etsy AFTER I made a few purchases and did some browsing and thought that a few of my products would be a good addition (My jams) Things kinda snowballed from there. I also sell at www.bovinebubbles.com as well as to a few brick and mortar stores.

2- What is your fave thing to buy on Etsy (whether it be supplies or gifts etc.)
I love shopping for things for other people. I find it so easy to see things here and think to myself "So and so would love that"

3-What is your current fave product under 20$?
If its something I sell, my favorite is my Heel n Hand Cream. If its something from someone elses store, I have had my eye on a few things from dgordon shop :)

4- Any advice for new sellers?
Rome wasnt built in a day, neither is your Etsy shop/presence. Sadly, we are not all going to get rich quick so you must keep at it. Eventually things will come around!

Supplies are my fave to buy on Etsy especially paper ephemera.
