1-Why did you choose to sell on Etsy/ and do you sell anywhere else?
i started selling on etsy when i wanted to find a way to work from home, to avoid the commute and leave the corporate world behind. i made jewelry when i was a teenager amd got back into it a few years ago. it seemed like a perfect match to align myself with etsy. (i also sell on ebay and i am registed to sell on artfire, but have done little over there).

2- What is your fave thing to buy on Etsy (whether it be supplies or gifts etc.)
i am particularly fond of a necklace called the paris trio in silver. it features a replica of the eiffel tower, a swarovski crystal heart and a french "oui" charm. my uncle married a woman from france, i studied french in school and i've travelled there. french inspired things are always on my radar.

3-What is your current fave product(not in your store) under 20$?
my favorite things on etsy under $20.00 come from a shop called bellaseradesign. an artist named anne from california makes the most delightful cards using vintage images and embellishments like tiny pearls and litle silver tokens. Each card features a ribbon and bow added to further decorate the cards -- they make you want to write to all of your friends, and everyone i've sent them to just adores them. the cards average around $3.00. each. she also does some lovely journals. the themes that run through her line focuses on french themes, birds, flowers and nostalgic images -- all near and dear to my heart.

4- Any advice for new sellers?
my advice to new sellers would be to find your own identity and express that through what you sell and how you convey things in your shop. photos are key but keep your prices real. never stop adding to your selection -- being fresh and constantly listing will add to your success. correspond with your buyers and offer high quality customer service. respond to every sale with a message thanking them for their purchase and letting them know how and when their order was shippes (ship quickly -- I shoot for 24 hour turn around as much as possible). my biggest turn off is ordering from a seller who never makes contact.

5-And a favorite quote?
"go confidently in the direction of your dreams -- live the life you have imagined."
